Nanocloth Strop Demonstrated with Tormek PA-70 Paste

Jende Nanocloth Strop Demonstrated with Tormek PA-70 Paste

The Jende Nanocloth Ultra Strop is back in action, this time making its mark on Sharpco Knives’ YouTube channel. They’re showcasing the 210x70mm full-sized 0.10 micron strop, all loaded up with that Tormek PA-70 paste. The video’s got a bit of a story: starts off with a dull knife, just hacking through cardboard till it loses its edge. But then comes the magic—the strop swoops in to rescue that blade, turning it from dullsville back to slicin’ and dicin’. The result? A solid 270 BESS rating, which is pretty respectable for just a little stropping action.

Now, that Tormek PA-70, it’s rated between 3 and 1 micron, which translates to about 6K-16K in grit terms. And get this—the Jende Nanocloth strops? They’ve got colors that match up with the micron ratings on their Poly Diamond Emulsions. But truth be told, all those strops, from 15 micron down to 0.025 micron, they’re rockin’ the same nanocloth material. So, the color of the strop doesn’t matter as much as the Nanocloth itself.

In the video, the sharpener starts off using’ the nanocloth strop on a bench stone setup, but then switches things up to a hand-held style. Seems like that’s where the magic really happens for him. And in the end, that Tormek PA-70, it breathes life back into that edge, showin’ off the Jende Nanocloth Strops as an even more versatile stropping tool.
