What materials are used in the construction of Maestro Wu Machetes and Axes?
Maestro Wu Machetes and Axes are crafted from Bombshell Steel sourced from artillery shells collected on Kinmen Island, Taiwan. During the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis in 1958, and until 1979, over a million shells were fired at the island. These shells, often containing propaganda leaflets, were collected and repurposed to forge high-quality knives and tools. The steel has a hardness rating of approximately 57–58 HRC.
