The Easy-Pack Knock Down Pen Stand is a take-down pen stand, that holds five pens. I am attempting here to make an affordable, easy-to-pack stand for the pen-show or artisan/craft fair makers out there. Emphasis in this design is on ease of packing and low cost, hence offering the version without finish as the standard option.
The stand is cut from 1/8″ Baltic birch plywood or .093 Acrylic, depending on your material choice. It disassembles for easy packing into a 4″ x 4″ x 3/8″ space, and three or four will easily fit into a quart ziplock. Assembly only takes a few seconds, and when assembled it is quite solid. Eight stands will fit easily into a USPS Small Flat-Rate box!
The pens shown are an assortment of Lamys, and a Noodler’s Ahab. I’ve also used an X-Acto knife and a #2 pencil for anyone interested who is not familiar with factory fountain pens. I am offering a number of options in terms of finish level, custom graphics and materials, starting from a bare-wood, unfinished version for your own decorating and finishing projects, to fully-finished versions with custom engraving.
