There is a variety of 1x6 Naniwa water stone grits that are lesser known than their Chosera cousins, but still high in quality and often more economical. All stones are mounted to standard 1x6 blanks and fit perfectly in any Jende JIGS for Knives, Edge Pro, Hapstone and TSProf guided sharpening systems.

The 220 GC is a traditional extra coarse grit that cuts quickly. It is a very good foundation stone for aesthetic sharpening of yanagi and deba knives.

The 320 Pro is a unique formulation by Naniwa which is related to the Choseras in quality and speed, with a little more cutting action. It s a premium grade transition stone as well as a repair and reprofiling stone.

The 600 "Bubble Gum" is a medium level grit that has surprisingly fast cutting action that removes earlier scratches and leaves an even surface for further refinement. It is the perfect stone to bring out the haze in the bevel of Japanese clad steel.

The 1K Goken Pro is a medium level stone that is normally not available outside Japan. It leaves a good matte finish, and can actually get hair shaving results.

The 1K "Chocolate Bar" is a medium level traditional stone that uses clay binding, but has a little more strength and stability, and considerably more cutting power, and it leaves a respectable working sharp.

The 4K Finisher is a traditional style clay based stone, but with Naniwa technology behind it. It's matrix foundation is quite solid, and releases just enough mud to put on a smooth, shiny finish without all the dishing.
