Wicked Edge Stone Pack – Chosera 800-2K Grit. The 800/2K Grit Chosera water stone pack for the Wicked Edge is the perfect one-two punch for many sharpening needs, especially kitchen knives. The 800 grit stone can maintain and do minor repairs and profiling, while the 2K puts a very reasonable working sharp edge that is suitable for most knives and tools. Stones are approx 5 – 5.5mm thick and come mounted to standard Wicked Edge style paddles. Stones are used with water only.
800 Grit Chosera is a coarse/medium grit stone that can be used to clean up scratches from earlier grits and diamond plates, do minor repairs and profiling, as well as for quick touching up and maintenance.
2,000 Grit Chosera is a medium grit stone that can be used for light maintenance sharpening and routine touchups. It leaves a very stable and refined working sharp edge for most knives and tools. It also sets the stage for further refinement, stropping, and polishing of the edge.
Chosera stones do wear, and we recommend using a glass lapping plate or a diamond lapping plate to maintain the stones flatness over time. Due to the varying stone thicknesses over time and use, we also recommend using the WE Paddle Non-Magnetic Stone Adapter to guarantee accurate angles. All Wicked Edge stone pack paddles are compatible with the Rack-Its custom Wicked Edge Paddle Stands.
