Used with water only, these Knife sharpening stones for Wicked Edge system are really well suited for use on kitchen knives, planes and chisels. All Wicked Edge stone pack paddles work in conjunction with all other Wicked Edge paddles and handles.

• 400 Grit is a coarse grit that works well on softer steels for profiling, repairs, and routine sharpening
• 600 Grit is a coarse grit that works well on harder steels for profiling, repairs, and routine sharpening
• 800 Grit is a coarse/medium grit that is ideal for minor repairs, routine sharpening and maintenance. Leaves a very basic work sharp edge
• 1,000 Grit is a medium grit that is highly versatile grit that does minor repairs, edge maintenance, and sharpening to a very respectable working sharp edge.
• 2,000 Grit is a medium grit that brings out one of the best working sharp edges. Good for edge maintenance and routine sharpening.
• 3,000 Grit is a medium/fine grit that starts to bring things to a light mirror finish and more toward a slicing edge. Good for edge maintenance and routine sharpening.
• 5,000 Grit is a fine grit that is for bringing out the polished, slicing edge. Good for edge maintenance and touch up sharpening. Is best when paired with the 10K.
• 10,000 grit is an ultra fine grit that brings out the mercury mirror finish. Good for maintenance touching up. Best when paired with the 3K or 5K.
