Jende Poly Diamond Emulsion is the highest quality stropping compounds on the market. They come in easy to use 7ml squeeze bottles, 25ml and 50ml bottles that are custom formulated to our specifications, making them fast and effective. The color coding makes the grit easy to identify and corresponds to the color of our Nanocloth strops. Of course they can also be used on our Cow Leather and Kangaroo knife Strops. The 7ml size bottle is best suited for the 1×4, 1×6, and Wicked Edge Nanocloth, leather and kangaroo strops. Each bottle yields about 2-3 loadings of Nanocloth and about 7-10 loadings of leather. For larger strops, we recommend the 25ml and 50ml versions.
Diamond abrasives cut through all steel types, and even ceramic blades like a hot knife through butter. Poly diamonds are able to get into the smallest grooves and therefore leave a more consistent and finer finish. If you feel you need more cutting action, you can try our Max Concentration Emulsions.
To use, simply spread the desired amount of emulsion on your stropping medium, spread evenly, let dry, then use as usual – see the videos below on how to load your strops.

I’ve been sharpening knives and straight razors for over a decade, and the Jende Poly Diamond Stropping Emulsion (4 Micron) has become a staple in my honing routine. I was skeptical at first—I’ve tried Gritomatic that either dried out too fast or didn’t seem to improve edge quality—but Jende’s formula is on another level.
The 4-micron particle size is perfect for refining an edge after a medium grit stone. I apply it to a kangaroo leather strop and it gives me that aggressive bite I want for working blades, without compromising control. You can actually feel the steel getting cleaner and more aligned after just a few passes. It also spreads evenly and doesn’t gum up like some of the cheaper compounds out there.
The bottle design is simple but effective—easy to control how much you apply. One or two pumps are all I need per stropping session. Plus, it’s water-based, so cleanup is hassle-free.
