The Naniwa combination stone 400/2,000 Grit is a 2 sided water stone. It is a full size aluminum oxide abrasive stone measuring 210mm x 70mm x 20mm or 2.75″ x 8.25″ x 0.75″. Each grit is 10mm or 3/8″ thick. The 400 grit side (green) is ideal for knife maintenance, repairs, and sharpening, and the 2K grit side (yellow) produces a very nice working edge. This stone is used with water only, and is splash and go. You can soak the stone before use, but let it air dry in between.
We recommend lapping this stone periodically with the Jende 10×4 Glass Lapping plate, or the Jende 1-x4 Diamond Lapping plate.
