The Jende Aluminum Oxide and Chromium Oxide stropping and honing compound bars are custom formulated to be easily applied on leather and kangaroo strops. They can also be used for loading mechanized buffing wheels and leather belts for polishing, deburring, and sharpening.
The Aluminum Oxide Compound (white) produces a bright finish with a little tooth that is a little more aggressive. It is ideal for routine maintenance on most knives and tools.
The Chromium Oxide Compound (green) produces a bright finish with a smooth edge. It is ideal for straight razor stropping, and routine finish maintenance on most knives and tools.
Chromium Oxide compound is considered finer than the Aluminum Oxide compound.
